Terms & Conditions

The service
SI Chap a Ride is a free community service that matches people who need a ride between Boro Park, Williamsburg, and Staten Island with drivers heading the same way. It works entirely by text message — there is no app and no account.
SMS Terms
You opt in by texting START or your ride request to (929) 661-9154. You will receive automated transactional ride-matching and dispatch messages from SI Chap a Ride — never marketing. Message frequency varies depending on your ride requests. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help.
Opt-out and help
Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further messages. Reply HELP for instructions on using the service.
Your responsibility
SI Chap a Ride only passes along contact information between community members. We do not screen riders or drivers, and we are not a transportation provider. Arrangements, safety, and any payments are solely between the rider and the driver. Use your own judgment as you would with any community bulletin board.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service for anything other than requesting or offering rides. We may block numbers that abuse the service.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page.
